As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts, SunSow Agro proudly runs the SunSow Agro Girls Football Tournament—a transformative initiative that leverages the power of sports to address critical challenges facing girls’ education in Kiboga District.

This initiative goes beyond promoting football. It provides a platform for girls to:

  • Actively engage in sports,
  • Develop essential life skills such as teamwork, confidence, and resilience,
  • Access valuable educational resources to support their academic journeys.

The tournament directly responds to the setbacks caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, which saw over 7 million Ugandan girls drop out of school. This disruption led to a surge in teenage pregnancies and a significant reduction in educational opportunities.

Through this program, SunSow Agro seeks to:

  • Encourage girls to stay in school and continue their education,
  • Support their holistic development by fostering physical, social, and mental well-being,
  • Empower girls to become agents of change, ultimately uplifting families and transforming entire communities.

The SunSow Agro Girls Football Tournament reflects our commitment to creating a brighter and more equitable future, where every girl has the opportunity to thrive and succeed.
